When it comes to working out, a lot of people use the excuse “I don’t have enough time.” Well, that’s where a HIIT workout routine comes into play! So for those of you who use “time” as an excuse, you no longer can!
What is a HIIT Workout?
HIIT- High Intensity Interval Training gives you a high intensity workout in a condensed period of time. With super short sessions, you can improve your fitness level and also lose pounds of fat, without needing to fully understanding the science of fat loss.
HIIT consists of a period of high effort, followed by a period of low workload and then repeated multiple times throughout the session. For example: 20 seconds of sprints, then followed by 15 seconds of jogging and repeated.
Individual HIIT VS Group HIIT Classes
INDIVIDUAL HIIT PERSONAL TRAINING: 1-on-1 HIIT Personal Training is the absolute best approach to HIIT, where your trainer can customize your HIIT program specifically for you. Your personal HIIT program should be progressive and adapt as you make progress. This always works best for ongoing, long term results.
GROUP HIIT PROGRAMS: Group HIIT workouts can work well too, depending on the difficulty of the class. The drawback to group HIIT classes or HIIT boot camps is that the difficulty level is likely always the same, indefinitely, because there will always be new people joining and others dropping out. This means your initial results may be good but you’re likely to plateau, at which point you’ll force your body into maintenance phase and new results will slow or stop completely.
Why I personally prefer HIIT Exercise (that’s me below!)
I use the HIIT workout method during each of my Long Beach outdoor personal training sessions, because it’s a great way to not only save time, but it’s a way to receive an exhilarating, killer workout! When leaving a HIIT Training session I leave with the same feeling I might get from spending hours at the gym, but in reality I may have only worked out for 30 minutes. The great thing about that is, you are still leaving the workout feeling sore, tired and so much stronger as you recover! HIIT Training is very quick, enthusiastic and motivating, which is great because doing the same workout over and over again can be very boring. Every HIIT workout really pushes me as an individual and helps me get not only physically but mentally stronger, ultimately helping me reach my fitness goals. After each HIIT session I leave feeling accomplished and full of energy, which is something I love most about it! HIIT Training will definitely motivate you and keep you coming back for more. So what are the benefits of HIIT.
Benefits of HIIT Workout Routine:
